• Automated Micro Needling (also known as collagen induction or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine to stimulate fast collagen production and renewal - which help to plump up, smooth out and tighten your skin.
  Skin needling using Derma-pen is perfect for treating many skin concerns including acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged skin pores, thin skin density and pigmentation.

• HOW DOES IT WORKDuring the procedure, the Derma pen is used to create channels or multiple, tiny micro wounds into the dermal layer of the skin. These micro-injuries induce a natural "wound healing" response which triggers the release of growth factors and the deposition of new collagen and elastin - the two key building blocks of our skin. This leads to reduction of scars and skin rejuvenation - improved skin texture, firmness and hydration.

• WHY DERMAPEN IS THE GOLD STANDARD?Disposable needles are used to eliminate the risk of cross contamination, whilst the adjustable needle depths allow for a treatment tailored to your individual needs. The Derma-pen is so advanced that it also has the advantage of being able to effectively treat hard to reach places (e.g around the eyes, nose and lips). And because of the vertical delivery the needles can easily penetrate scar tissue, increasing the effectiveness of treatments and generating less pain and downtime.

• WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?Skin Needling is suitable for people who want to eliminate and improve the appearance of acne scarring, eliminate visible signs of aging and rejuvenate your skin.

• WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin. It will look like and feel like a sunburn.
  The total healing time depends on the Eclipse MicroPen setting used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, clients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Some clients heal completely in as little as 24 hours.
  Depending on the gel, serum or product infused into the skin and the quality of the skin, the skin may experience some micro peeling on day 3 after the Micro-Needling treatment. DO NOT SCRATCH, PICK OR SQUEEZE SKIN OR EXFOLIATE THE SKIN UNTIL PEELING STOPS.
  Mineral or medical grade makeup can be applied after the treatment if clients have to go back to work.

• HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?Our Skin Specialist can consult you on a prescribed treatment. Skin conditions are different as well as the age of each patient the amount of treatments may vary but here is a guideline:
  Rejuvenation: 4-6 treatments – 4-6 weeks apart
  Acne Scarring: 6-10 treatments - 6-8 weeks apart

• WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?Clients notice an immediate "glow" to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of weeks, usually by the 6 week mark after treatment the client notices changes. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues such as type II collagen which takes up to 6 months to kick in giving the skin the plumping and firming affect. Micro-Needling is a treatment that continues to build in the skin, once a course is completed the skin will continue to improve and the results build and can last up to a few years, obviously if the clients is using good skincare this enhances their results.
